Bring Ideas to Life: The MachBar Consultation Hour in Duisburg
On Tuesday, February 9, 2027, the MachBar in the Central Library Duisburg will open its doors from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM. The makerspace on the third floor provides space for creative projects, digital ideas, and practical questions related to modern technology.
Try Out Digital Tools and Plan Projects
The MachBar combines library atmosphere with practical media and technology consulting. On site, there are 3D printers, plotters, an iMac with music production software, as well as devices for digitizing books and vinyl records available. Visitors receive support in selecting suitable devices and implementing their own projects.
Open Consultation Hour for the Curious and Tinkerers
The offer is aimed at people who want to get to know the makerspace, as well as those who already have a concrete project in mind. Whether digital design, creative production, media editing, or digitization: the open consultation hour provides direct access to the possibilities of the MachBar.
Event Experience in the City Window
The Central Library presents itself in the city window on three bright, light-filled floors. This creates a modern ambiance for knowledge transfer, encounter, and creative development. The organization of the consultation hour combines low-threshold advice with a practical event experience and addresses both beginners and experienced tinkerers.
Important Information for Participation
Participation in the MachBar consultation hour is free of charge. Prior online registration through the events of the city library is recommended. Questions can be answered by the MachBar team by phone at 0203 283-4238 or via email at stabi@machbar@stadt-duisburg.de.

Those who want to experience digital tools practically and discover the makerspace of the Central Library will find the right place for that on February 9, 2027, in Duisburg.
