Work together and experience sustainable mobility
On Monday, February 15, 2027, the bike workshop reborad at the Rheinpark in Duisburg-Hochfeld will open its doors for the open bike workshop Bike Repair for Everyone. From 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM, everything revolves around practical help, joint tinkering, and the good feeling of being safe on the road with your own bike again.
Workshop atmosphere with real hands-on character
Instead of spectator seats, visitors will find tools, repair spots, and a direct working atmosphere. People with and without disabilities can repair their own bikes independently of regular opening hours. Support and expert guidance provide orientation, while focused tinkering moments and neighborhood exchanges shape the public mood.
Sustainability that makes a difference in daily life
The open bike workshop combines bike repair, help for self-help, and sustainable mobility. Those who fix a defect extend the lifespan of their own bike and send a message against throwing away and buying new. Donated bikes are also repaired, overhauled, and subsequently passed on for a small fee.
Inclusion and professional experience
The initiative is backed by Regenbogen Duisburg gGmbH. Reborad is established as a bike business, training entity, and Shimano Service Center in the field of repair and bike service. The event management focuses on a low-threshold, inclusive event experience, where practical support and social participation are interlinked.
Well prepared for the open bike workshop
Participation is subject to prior registration. Tools are provided on-site. A repair spot costs 2 euros per hour. For registration and information, reborad is available via email at reborad@regenbogen-duisburg.de as well as by phone at 0203 3003659.
Conclusion: Get back on the road with your own bike
Bike Repair for Everyone brings craftsmanship knowledge, sustainability, and encounters together in a relaxed workshop atmosphere. If you want to get your bike in shape yourself, learn the basics of repair, and experience an inclusive local project, you should attend the event in Duisburg-Hochfeld live.
