Community Center Hagenshof | Events & Photos

The Community Center Hagenshof is a municipal socio-cultural institution in Duisburg-Obermeiderich at Wiesbadener Str. 104. It is not a classic single-purpose event venue, but a place for encounters, participation, and community-oriented neighborhood work. The city of Duisburg describes the facility as barrier-free and as a place where leisure, education, integration, and counseling come together. At the same time, the house is deeply rooted in the neighborhood: clubs, families, children, young people, and older adults use the building in various ways, and this mix is what defines its character. Therefore, those looking for the Community Center Hagenshof will find not only a fixed stage or a single hall, but a vibrant network of offerings, groups, meeting points, and recurring events. Particularly interesting is the range of use, as the house can be used for smaller gatherings as well as larger events depending on the format. Thus, a neighborhood house becomes a social hub that is present in the daily lives of many Duisburg residents. Events, Program, and Dance Tea at the Community Center Hagenshof

When considering the Community Center Hagenshof from the perspective of Google search, the topic of events is one of the most important search motives. This is understandable, as the house is regularly present with recurring offerings. The city explicitly designates the dance tea at the Community Center Hagenshof as a long-standing senior format. From October to May, it takes place regularly on the first Sunday of each month in the large event hall. This is more than just a date on the calendar: it is a fixed social meeting point with tradition, where people come together, dance, talk, and spend Sunday afternoons in a familiar atmosphere. The city speaks of an institution that has been a central point of contact and reference for people of all generations for over four decades. This gives the Community Center a special identity that is perceived far beyond the neighborhood. The fact that the event takes place in the large hall also shows that the house is not only intended for small meetings but also for formats with an audience, movement, and longer stays. From the content perspective, it is important to note: the Community Center Hagenshof does not represent just any interchangeable location, but stands for reliable, recurring social and cultural events with a strong local connection. ([duisburg.de](https://www.duisburg.de/allgemein/fachbereiche/senioren.php))

However, the program includes not only senior afternoons. The official city pages mention a wide range of offerings, from open children's and youth areas to sports programs, holiday activities, and homework assistance. In addition, vocational preparation, children's theater, self-help assistance, chess clubs, senior table tennis, and the provision of spaces for cultural, integration, and educational work are mentioned. This explains why the Community Center Hagenshof appears in search results both as an event venue and as a social meeting point. For visitors, this creates a very versatile picture: children's theater in the morning, groups and counseling in the afternoon, dance tea on certain Sundays, and always offers for clubs and initiatives. The play basket page also shows that the house is regularly represented in the current children's theater program. Several morning dates with children's theater performances appear for Hagenshof, confirming the location as a fixed component of the city's cultural offerings. The focus is therefore not on a one-time event, but on a continuous program with social and cultural added value. Children, Youth, and Family Offers: Why the Community Center Hagenshof is More Than a Stage

A central feature of the Community Center Hagenshof is its strong focus on children, young people, and families. The official description from the city mentions the pedagogically supervised open children's and youth area, compensatory basic education offerings, sports programs, holiday activities, homework and learning support, as well as vocational preparation for young people and young adults. Additionally, there are offerings specifically aimed at welcome and integration work, such as meeting points for newly arrived and refugee individuals or a welcome program for newly arrived children. This is important because it does not reduce the search intent behind terms like program, events, or Community Center Hagenshof to classic event culture. Those searching here often want to know if the house is suitable for families, if there are regular offerings for children, or if it is an open, low-threshold institution. The profile of the house answers these questions very clearly. The city describes an institution that strengthens social structure in the neighborhood and connects educational and cultural work. From an SEO perspective, this is a strong theme because it gives the house its own credible profile that clearly distinguishes it from mere event halls. ([duisburg.de](https://www.duisburg.de/vv/produkte/pro_du/dez_iii/50/buergerhaeuser.php))

The play basket page also emphasizes this family character. There, the Community Center Hagenshof is described as a place where local clubs meet and where there are creative, sports, and gymnastics offerings as well as mother and child groups. This is complemented by children's theater performances that take place in the mornings for kindergarten groups. This makes it clear that the house is not only relevant for adults or seniors but is a true multi-generational place. This is particularly interesting for parents, schools, daycare centers, and group leaders because they encounter an established place that is already structurally prepared for educational and cultural use. The ongoing children's theater season also shows that Hagenshof is regularly integrated into the city's cultural program. This is crucial for user expectations: those searching for photos, programs, or event dates today expect not only beautiful images but also concrete indications of whether the house is suitable for groups, children, and families. The official self-presentation of the house provides exactly this answer and makes it clear that here culture, education, and everyday life intertwine. Rooms, Capacity, and Flexible Use for Small and Larger Groups

The capacity is another search focus that is very relevant for the Community Center Hagenshof. The city of Duisburg states that the house has rooms for 30 to 250 people. This range is remarkable for a neighborhood house because it shows that the rooms are flexibly usable. From this information, it can be inferred that the house is not only intended for small meetings or group sessions but also for significantly larger formats with an audience, stage, or movement area. Particularly in conjunction with the regular offerings, it becomes clear how versatile the infrastructure is: a house of this size can accommodate senior afternoons, children's events, club meetings, creative courses, or informational formats without losing its social character. For SEO logic, terms like capacity, rooms, hall, seats, or seating plan are therefore closely associated with the Community Center Hagenshof. Even if the official pages do not publish a classic seating plan like a large concert hall, the usability of the house is well understandable through the capacity information and the description of the event spaces. This makes the Community Center interesting for organizers, groups, and local initiatives looking for a reliable and neighborhood-friendly location. ([duisburg.de](https://www.duisburg.de/vv/produkte/pro_du/dez_iii/50/buergerhaeuser.php))

The practical strength of the house lies in the combination of social mission and room offerings. The city explicitly mentions the provision of spaces for cultural, integration, and educational work. This makes it clear that the Community Center Hagenshof not only hosts events but is also part of the municipal infrastructure. From the visitor's perspective, this means: one does not enter an anonymous hall but rather an institution designed for encounters, exchange, and everyday relevance. The size of up to 250 people is an indicator for larger group formats, while the lower limit of 30 people shows that smaller formats are also realistic. This flexibility is valuable, especially for clubs, course leaders, parent initiatives, or senior-related offerings. It allows for use that adapts to the actual needs of the neighborhood. At a time when many people first think of ticketing, seating plans, or parking garages when it comes to venues, the Community Center Hagenshof sets a different emphasis: it is a house for practical, social, and cultural use that is oriented towards the needs of the neighborhood. This flexibility is a central quality feature and should be clearly highlighted in the content. ([duisburg.de](https://www.duisburg.de/vv/produkte/pro_du/dez_iii/50/buergerhaeuser.php))

Address, Directions, and Contact: How Visitors Find the Community Center Hagenshof

The address of the Community Center Hagenshof is clear and publicly documented: Wiesbadener Str. 104, 47138 Duisburg-Obermeiderich. For local searches, this spelling is important because it is used for both navigation systems and direct orientation in the neighborhood. The city also provides the phone number 0203 425280, so visitors can directly contact with questions. For a location page, this is a particularly useful component, as many users are not only looking for events but also for practical information for their visit. Regarding access, the official pages mainly show that the location is part of the municipal network and is even listed as barrier-free in the room overview. At the same time, the found official pages do not indicate a separate visitor underground garage, no parking garage, and no reserved parking information for the house. This is not a weakness but initially an information signal: those arriving by car should clarify the current situation on-site or directly by phone. For content creation, this formulation is important because it does not invent details but only makes visible what the official sources actually substantiate. ([duisburg.de](https://www.duisburg.de/vv/produkte/pro_du/dez_iii/50/buergerhaeuser.php))

Equally relevant is the view of the municipal infrastructure surrounding the Community Center. On the official community centers page, the city directly refers to the Duisburg city map and other service offerings, showing that the institution is embedded in the municipal orientation. For visitors, this means that they should plan their way to the house best with the city map, public transport, or a brief phone inquiry. Especially since the official pages do not provide their own detailed parking space information, precise and honest communication is important. Those searching for the location will find the address immediately; those needing event details have the institution's number at hand; those wanting to know more about accessibility can proceed through the municipal maps and contact routes. For SEO and user guidance, this combination of address, phone, and honest parking information is valuable. It builds trust and saves follow-up questions. Instead of making promises about parking spaces that are not documented on the found pages, the location should be described as a well-located municipal community center with direct contact and a clear address. This is factually correct and most helpful for visitors. ([duisburg.de](https://www.duisburg.de/vv/produkte/pro_du/dez_iii/50/buergerhaeuser.php))

Photos, Impressions, and Atmosphere: How the Community Center Hagenshof Appears

The search term photos is particularly interesting for the Community Center Hagenshof from an SEO perspective because it shows that many users want to first gain a visual impression. The official pages actually include images of the venue, such as on the play basket page for the venue and in municipal contributions and room overviews. The house does not appear there as spectacular large architecture but rather as a lived, functional place of everyday life. This also shapes the effect: the Community Center Hagenshof conveys less the impression of a delineated event world but rather that of an open neighborhood house where closeness, recognizability, and function are at the forefront. For content, this is helpful because it allows for good management of expectations. Those looking for a grand show theater or a glittering event backdrop are at the wrong address here. However, those seeking an authentic place with social character, practical use, and a visible public mission will find exactly the right image at the Community Center Hagenshof. The available images support this perception without artificially elevating the location. ([www-aufbau.duisburg.de](https://www-aufbau.duisburg.de/microsites/spielkorb/service/spielstaetten))

The atmosphere of the house can be very well derived from the official descriptions. The city and the play basket speak of a place for leisure, education, integration, counseling, creative work, sports, and group offerings. This diversity creates an atmosphere that is characterized more by openness and use than by distance. Especially with offerings like dance tea, children's theater, or senior afternoons, an image of familiarity and social togetherness emerges. The official texts also emphasize accessibility, which further contributes to the perception of the house as an accessible, inclusive place. Therefore, for inquiries about photos, not only is the question relevant whether images are available, but also what these images express: a house that understands itself as a municipal meeting point where everyday life, stage, and neighborhood intertwine. A separate, prominently marketed photo gallery is not highlighted on the found official pages; instead, images are used where they meaningfully complement the respective function of the house. This is a good indication from a content perspective because one should not exaggerate the visual search but rather answer it cleanly and honestly. ([www-aufbau.duisburg.de](https://www-aufbau.duisburg.de/microsites/spielkorb/service/spielstaetten))

Senior Work, Encounters, and Social Significance in the Neighborhood

Another central focus of the Community Center Hagenshof is senior work. The city of Duisburg explicitly describes the dance tea as an integral part of the senior offerings and refers to the long tradition of this event. At the same time, the city mentions on its community centers page further offerings that go beyond the senior afternoon: senior table tennis, chess clubs, self-help assistance, and the meeting point for local clubs and groups. This makes it clear that the house is not just an event space but a social infrastructure. For older adults, this plays a significant role because such places provide orientation, social contacts, and a sense of belonging in everyday life. The dance tea is the best-known example, but not the only one. The official description shows that the Community Center Hagenshof is intended as a place for counseling, encounters, and everyday support. This is precisely what makes its relevance for Duisburg-Obermeiderich: it is a house that not only hosts events but strengthens social relationships. ([duisburg.de](https://www.duisburg.de/allgemein/fachbereiche/senioren.php))

This social significance is also reflected in other municipal texts. The operation of community centers is described by the city as a contribution to improving the social structure. Cultural offerings, integration work, and educational support for children and young people are mentioned. The Community Center Hagenshof is thus part of a larger municipal strategy that considers neighborhood, education, and participation together. For the content, this means: one should not describe the house in isolation as a single location but as part of a municipal system of care, culture, and encounters. This also explains why the Community Center is relevant for so many different search terms, from events and programs to photos and capacity, as well as barrier-free and parking. People are not just looking for a room here but a functioning institution with social benefits. This perspective makes the Community Center Hagenshof particularly credible and SEO-strong. Those who visit will encounter a place where tradition, everyday life, and community intertwine. This is the true strength of the house and the reason why it is so firmly anchored in Duisburg. ([duisburg.de](https://www.duisburg.de/vv/produkte/pro_du/dez_iii/50/102010100000136266.php?utm_source=openai))

Practical Information for Visits, Groups, and Current Dates

For good visitor orientation, it is sensible to consider the Community Center Hagenshof not only as a location but also as a current offering platform. The play basket page shows that the house is regularly scheduled with children's theater dates in the current 2025/26 season, specifically with morning performances at the location Wiesbadener Str. 104. This is particularly relevant for groups, daycare centers, and families because such dates are often planable and adapted to the daily rhythm. The municipal communication makes it clear that the house is integrated into the public cultural and educational network. Therefore, those searching for programs, events, or group offerings will find at the Community Center Hagenshof not a static place but an actively used institution with recurring formats. This distinguishes it from locations where only individual special dates are visible. The connection of regular senior dates, educational work, and cultural offerings ensures that the house remains adaptable to very different target groups. ([duisburg.de](https://duisburg.de/microsites/spielkorb/kidertheater_fuer_alle/stuecke-kindertheater-fuer-alle.php))

If visitors or organizers have specific inquiries, they should use the direct line. The official phone number 0203 425280 is mentioned on the municipal pages and is suitable for inquiries about rooms, dates, or current organizational notes. This is particularly important because the found pages do not provide a separate, detailed parking page with fixed parking rules. Therefore, a direct inquiry in advance is sensible, especially if a visit involves children, mobility restrictions, or a larger group. Additionally, the city refers to the city map and other service offerings, which underscores the integration of the house into the municipal infrastructure. From an SEO perspective, this combination is valuable: a clear address, direct contact, documented accessibility, understandable capacity, and a lively program. Thus, the Community Center Hagenshof is not only a search term but a concretely usable place with a public mission. Those looking for a location in Duisburg that combines closeness, reliability, and social relevance will find it here. Nice and clean place to hold small to medium size gatherings as the place can be rented. Easy access via private transport but a little bit of walking (about 800m along the main street) if you come from Duisburg HBf with 903. Alternatively, you can change to bus 906 from Landschaftspark Nord directly opposite the 903 stop. 906 stops directly in front of Bürgerhaus and is only 3 stations away. Bürgerhaus has easy access for disabled people and those with children’s carts/strollers. Don’t forget to take away the leaflets to know details about the services offered here.

The supervisor "Mark" is just a disaster from the children's and youth area. He intimidates children a lot and takes their money... My child doesn't dare to go to Bürgerhaus anymore because of him and doesn't feel comfortable there! Doesn't anyone notice this and do something about it??

I recently attended a carnival event there for the first time. The room is great. It's spacious but not too huge, creating a cozy atmosphere. Everything was very clean. The sanitary facilities were not the newest, but they were well-maintained.

The building is aging but offers enough space for appropriate occasions. Parking is available. Wheelchair accessible, elevator available.
