This library is located near the town hall and a 5-minute walk from the train station. It offers a wide range of literature, films, music, dictionaries, press, and databases on the ground and first floors. It is quite dated, and the rooms are not ventilated, and there is no video surveillance for your safety. On the first floor, a maximum of two people are allowed to work at each table, and there is a restroom available after presenting an ID card.

I am very upset about today's situation!!! We have been coming here for a year. Every Saturday there are classes for children (drawing, painting, etc.) and there have never been any problems. Today we were thrown out of the library and told that we had to reserve an hour. Since we did not reserve an hour, we are not allowed to enter the library! We just wanted to sit and read, but we were told that we cannot do that too! Again we have to reserve a time! The staff are rude, unfriendly and did not understand our situation and did not offer us an alternative!!! This is not how children can be treated! This is not normal! I think this staff will be punished for this kind of behavior!!! Thank you for your understanding.

We in Hamborn are very fortunate to have such a beautiful city library. It's very large and spacious with a great atmosphere. I've been a member for years and am happy to pay my membership fee. 👍👍 They have everything. Besides books, you can also borrow audiobooks, DVDs, magazines, and manga. 👍 Very friendly staff. 👍 Superbly equipped library. 📚

The library itself is well-equipped and looks clean and organized. Unfortunately, the opening hours listed on the website are never accurate. I've tried visiting the library several times over the past few months, but unfortunately, it's been unsuccessful. It's constantly closed for some other reason. You only find out the current reason when you're standing in front of the locked door. Please post the relevant information clearly on the website. The door only says that it will reopen on January 3, 2023. However, this is a Tuesday and again doesn't match the new opening hours of Wednesday to Thursday. I'll be happy to change my review once things improve. Until then, I'll have to continue visiting a different library in a different part of town...
