Eulenspiegel: The Fool Takes the Stage
On February 5, 2027, Patrick Dollas brings Eulenspiegel to the stage in FOYER III of the Theater Duisburg. The performance combines coarse folk theater with the anarchic energy of a character whose name has stood for mockery, disguise, and unrestrained glee for centuries.
A Vagabond Between Wit and Resistance
Eulenspiegel is a fool, a jester, a troublemaker, and a master of masquerade. In his first work with the youth club, actor Patrick Dollas approaches the origins of this legendary figure. The production focuses on a stage character that exposes authorities, mocks societal rules, and blurs the boundary between truth and deception with every prank.
Coarse Folk Theater with Immediate Impact
The dramaturgy relies on direct address, physical presence, and the rough charm of folk theater. In the intimate stage space of FOYER III, a theatrical atmosphere is created where closeness and friction become immediately tangible. Acting, rhythm, and comedic timing give the stage experience its unique tension.
An Evening for Curious Theatergoers
The performance is aimed at everyone aged 12 and above and invites them to rediscover a historical figure. Between grotesque comedy, rebellious spirit, and lively stage action, an evening of theater unfolds that challenges audience reactions and encourages personal judgments about Eulenspiegel's anarchic freedom.
Conclusion: Experience Eulenspiegel Live
