Beginner Climbing Course in Duisburg: Safely to the Wall
On December 1, 2026, the Monkeyspot climbing hall in Duisburg will transform into a training ground for everyone who wants to learn the sport of bouldering from the basics. From 7:00 PM to 8:00 PM, the beginner course will provide essential foundations for a safe and strong athletic start.
Technique, Tactics, and Trust in Your Own Feet
Bouldering means climbing without ropes at jump height over thick soft mats. In the one-hour course, experienced trainers will show beginners how to control their movements, use their center of gravity, and read routes with the right tactics. Learning to safely catch falls is also part of the basic introduction.
Sporting Excitement on 1,300 Square Meters
In the Monkeyspot climbing hall, a variety of bouldering problems await different performance levels. About 250 routes, a separate training area, and a generous mat area create ideal conditions for first grip changes, precise footwork, and increasing field tension on the wall. The hall also features a children's area and a bistro with coffee and snacks.
Admission, Rental Shoes, and Practical Notes
The course fee is 20 euros for adults and 18.50 euros for reduced rates. Day admission and rental shoes are included. Chalk is also part of the course equipment. Pre-registration is not necessary. Comfortable sports clothing is recommended; changing rooms, showers, and toilets are available on-site. Payment can be made in cash or by debit card. The hall has a large free parking lot.
Conclusion: The Direct Path to First Bouldering Success
The beginner course combines movement, technique, and safety in a focused training session. Those who want to experience a stadium atmosphere differently, exchange fan chants for concentrated hall silence, and top their first boulder will find the suitable entry point here. Mark December 1, 2026, and experience the first grips live.
