Advent Magic at the Town Hall: Creative and Atmospheric into the Pre-Christmas Season
As the Advent season approaches, the Advent Magic at the District Town Hall Walsum invites you to a special faith experience with a creative community. In a calm, festive atmosphere, individual Advent wreaths are created to enrich your home with light, reflection, and personal design.
Advent Creativity and Lived Tradition
The Advent wreath is one of the familiar symbols of the pre-Christmas season. In the workshop, participants develop their own ideas and create a personal wreath under expert guidance. Two sample wreaths provide inspiration for modern, elaborate designs with faux fur and string lights as well as for classic variants with ribbons, decorative elements, and natural materials.
Community, Craftsmanship, and Spirituality
The collaborative creation connects hands-on learning with contemplative moments. The scent of natural materials, warm colors, and focused work create a spiritual atmosphere where community spirit and personal creativity come together. No prior knowledge is required, so interested individuals of all ages are welcome.
Well Prepared for the Advent Workshop
All materials for the creation will be provided on-site. Participants are asked to bring their own candles for the Advent wreath. Participation is free of charge, but the number of spots is limited to 15 people. Registration by Friday, November 6, 2026, is required via email at kultur.walsum@stadt-duisburg.de or by phone at 0203 283-987894.
Conclusion
The Advent Magic at the Town Hall offers space for creativity, encounters, and contemplative anticipation. Anyone who wants to consciously start the Advent season, learn crafting techniques, and create a personal Advent wreath will experience an inviting evening in festive community at the District Town Hall Walsum.
