A movie night without spoilers, without prior knowledge, and with maximum curiosity: At the Sneak Preview on Tuesday, October 6, 2026, the filmforum Duisburg will present an attractive arthouse film before its official release. An evening for curious film fans
On the first Tuesday of each month, the cinema hall at Dellplatz transforms into a meeting place for people who enjoy discovering films without bias. Instead of trailers, reviews, and synopses, the evening's dramaturgy solely decides. The Sneak Preview presents a German dubbed premiere from the arthouse sector, thus offering the chance to experience an upcoming film particularly early.
Special atmosphere at filmforum
The filmforum in Duisburg City combines the atmosphere of a 1950s cinema palace with modern media technology. Before the entry, the tension rises, in the hall, attention turns to the screen, and after the start, every surprised audience reaction contributes to the special cinema moment. The ambiance creates a focused yet relaxed event atmosphere for a varied evening.
Organization and event planning
The filmforum Duisburg is considered Germany's first municipal cinema and has shaped the city's cinema culture for decades. The event planning for the Sneak Preview deliberately focuses on the connection of a reliable date, attractive ticket price, and secret film title. For audience engagement, this means: those who love arthouse cinema and enjoy immersing themselves in new stories will find a unique date in the Duisburg event calendar.
