Creative ideas get practical support in Duisburg
On Tuesday, January 12, 2027, MachBar at the Duisburg Central Library will open its doors for an open consultation hour. From 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM, visitors will receive advice on the possibilities of the makerspace on the third floor.
From idea to own project
MachBar combines digital tools, creative practice, and personal advice. Those who already have a concrete project in mind or want to first get to know the equipment will find a suitable point of contact here. The team assists with questions about the devices and shows how an idea turns into a feasible project.
3D printing, plotting, and digitization
The equipment includes, among other things, 3D printers, plotters, an iMac with music production programs, and various devices for digitizing books and records. This creates a versatile creative space for media projects, technical experiments, and personal design ideas.
Calm atmosphere for curious visitors
The consultation hour takes place in the modern Central Library located in the city window. The event atmosphere remains open, focused, and personal: questions are at the center, as is the direct exchange with the MachBar team. The event experience is aimed at those who wish to not only observe digital technology but to engage with it practically.
Free admission and prior registration recommended
Participation in the consultation hour is free of charge. Prior online registration via the city library’s event calendar is recommended. The organization of the format combines easy access with professional advice and a clear target audience appeal for creative minds, technology enthusiasts, and anyone looking to start their own project.
