Bike Repair for Everyone: Working Together in Duisburg-Hochfeld
If your bike needs new attention, the bike workshop reborad at Rheinpark will be an open meeting point for practical help, sustainable mobility, and lived inclusion on Monday, December 14, 2026. From 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM, people with and without disabilities can repair their own bikes while experiencing a relaxed workshop atmosphere.
Tools, Knowledge, and a Real Participatory Atmosphere
The focus is on working together on your own bike. Tools will be available on-site, while the reborad team organizes a clear and practical framework. Small repairs, technical questions, and first steps in bike maintenance come together to create a direct event experience with practical benefits.
Sustainability Meets Social Participation
The open bike workshop explicitly targets people from Duisburg-Hochfeld and beyond. People with and without disabilities work together on solutions, extend the lifespan of their bikes, and send a message against throwing things away. The atmosphere is characterized by concentration, mutual support, and the good feeling of being able to make a difference.
A Project by Regenbogen Duisburg
The organizer is Regenbogen Duisburg gGmbH, which has been supporting people with mental illnesses, intellectual disabilities, and other handicaps since 1983. Reborad combines craftsmanship experience with self-help support and an inclusive approach. Additionally, donated bikes are repaired, refurbished, and passed on for a small fee.
Organization and Registration
Participation requires registration. A rental fee of 2 euros per hour will apply for a repair spot. Information and registrations can be made via email at reborad@regenbogen-duisburg.de or by phone at 0203 3003659. The event takes place in the bike workshop facilities.
Conclusion
Bike Repair for Everyone offers a down-to-earth and meaningful event experience for anyone who wants to make their bike fit, stay sustainably mobile, and experience an open community. Mark the date and live the inclusive workshop atmosphere in Duisburg-Hochfeld.
