Halloween Night Safari at Duisburg Zoo: When Animals Awaken in the Dark
When dusk falls over Duisburg Zoo on October 30, 2026, a special family experience begins: Equipped with flashlights, families explore the zoo outside normal opening hours. Creepy costumes are welcome and create an atmospheric Halloween ambiance.
With Flashlights Through the Nocturnal Animal World
The darkness changes the familiar surroundings. During the guided evening safari, participants visit selected animal houses and, with a bit of luck, discover animals that are seldom seen during the day. The zoo guides combine exciting observations with educational and entertaining stories from zoo life.
Age-Appropriate, Educational, and Full of Discoveries
The night safari is suitable for children aged 6 and up. The experience fosters curiosity, perception, and a child-friendly understanding of animal behavior. The quiet observation in dim light creates a unique learning experience and vividly illustrates nature and species conservation.
Quality Time with a Spookily Beautiful Conclusion
The approximately two-hour tour starts promptly at 7:00 PM at the entrance on Mülheimer Straße. At the end, a drink awaits at the Koala House. For a smooth process, prior registration is required; group size is limited to a maximum of 25 people. Dogs are not permitted during the evening safari.
Important Information for Families
Admission costs 41.50 euros for adults and 33.00 euros for children. Arrival by car can be planned with parking facilities directly opposite the entrance. Families should arrive a few minutes early so that the tour can start together and safely.
Joy, wonder, and children's laughter combine in this Halloween event with exciting insights into the animal world. Those who want to experience the zoo in a mysterious evening atmosphere will find quality time, learning fun, and a special dose of spookiness at the night safari.
