Open Atelier in Duisburg-Hochfeld: Experience colors yourself

On January 9, 2027, the Hochfelder Art and Cultural Atelier opens its doors for a creative art experience. Between 10:00 and 14:00, participants will create their own works on canvas, paper, or wood. The open format combines cultural education, playful learning, and immediate creative experience.

Painting as an aesthetic experience

Acrylic and watercolor paint offer a versatile spectrum between vibrant color areas, transparent color application, and spontaneous lines. On canvas, paper, or wood, material, form, and personal artistic idea meet. The examination of the artwork begins not only in front of a finished piece but also in the own creative process.

An atelier for curiosity and imagination

The exhibition atmosphere of the atelier creates space for focused work, free experimentation, and exchange about art. Children and families discover how colors work, shapes emerge, and how an individual image can grow from an initial sketch. The Open Atelier provides a low-threshold approach to art practice, making the joy of creation directly experienceable.

Cultural education through personal action

The atelier represents a lively connection between painting, material experience, and cultural participation. Different picture carriers invite participants to try out surfaces, color mixtures, and compositions. Thus, one's own work becomes the starting point for a personal aesthetic experience and a sustainable access to art.

Conclusion: Art is created with the first brushstroke

The Open Atelier offers an inspiring art experience for everyone who wants not only to view painting but also to create it themselves. Those who wish to explore colors, forms, and materials with their own hands will find an open space for imagination, encounter, and cultural enrichment at the Hochfelder Art and Cultural Atelier.
