Electronic Sound Worlds at Lokal Harmonie

On Saturday, November 7, 2026, Lokal Harmonie in Duisburg-Ruhrort will transform into an open laboratory for electronic music. During the free Synthi-Craft Workshop, participants will create their own mini synthesizers starting at 6 PM, before an open Electro-Jam Session brings together their self-built sound machines and other electronic instruments at 8 PM.

Build, tweak, and listen to mini synthesizers

The workshop invites participants to experience electronic sound generation first-hand. Step by step, each person will create their own mini synthesizer, whose knobs, buttons, and lights make new sound colors visible and audible. Even without prior knowledge, the format offers space for experimentation, tinkering, and collective discovery.

From Ambient to Industrial

Starting at 8 PM, the Electro-Jam opens its stage for oscillators, filters, envelope generators, low-pass gates, loopers, ring modulators, noise generators, granulators, as well as echo, reverb, and other effect pedals. Between ambient and industrial, atonal structures and electropop, a spontaneous live atmosphere will develop, where sound grows from interaction and improvisation rather than from a fixed plan.

Open Stage for Sound Experiments

Participation and listening are equally part of the concert experience. The provided PA system and the special room acoustics of Lokal Harmonie create the technical foundation for a versatile stage performance. The focus is on musical exchange, creative synchronization, and curiosity about unexpected sounds and rhythms.

Part of the Music Session Triangle

The session connects established music jams from various Duisburg art and cultural venues: the Electro-Jam at Lokal Harmonie, the Parayok Jam Session at Stapeltor, and the Jam Session at kitev. This results in an evening combining workshop, sound art, and an open concert atmosphere.

Conclusion: Experience Electronics Live

Those who want to not only hear electronic music but also explore its creation will find an unusually direct access here. First build, then plug in, play, and listen together: Lokal Harmonie promises an experimental evening for music enthusiasts, tinkerers, and curious audiences. Admission is free.
