jazzy Christmas classics make Duisburg swing
On December 23, 2026, the Great House of the Theater Duisburg will transform into a festive jazzy concert hall. At Swinging Christmas, American Christmas song classics meet elegant arrangements, warm voices, and the relaxed groove of a five-member jazz band.
When Christmas swings
Piano, clarinet, saxophone, drums, and double bass add a new color to familiar melodies. The arrangements blend festive warmth with rhythmic lightness, creating an atmospheric mix of festive concert, jazzy stage performance, and relaxed evening program.
Strong voices and musical precision
Under the musical direction and arrangements of Jake Muffett, members of the ensemble shape the evening. Muffett himself will be on stage as a soloist as well as on clarinet and saxophone. He will be accompanied by Laura Miah, Sarah Ferede, Sami Luttinen, and Luke Stoker. Their voices meet a differentiated orchestration, precise synchronization, and the colorful sound of the live band.
Festive live atmosphere in the Great House
The audience's mood thrives on familiar Christmas melodies, swinging rhythms, and the unique acoustic space of the Theater Duisburg. Amidst bright sound colors, springy drums, and velvety brass lines, a concert experience is created that musically makes the anticipation for the festive days palpable.
An evening to enjoy
The concert lasts about two hours and 15 minutes and includes a break. The evening begins at 19:30 and is expected to end at 21:30. Tickets are available depending on the seating category starting at 15 euros; further price levels are at 25 and 35 euros.
