String Sound and Needle Play: Chamber Music Meets Slow Fashion
On February 20, 2027, members of the Duisburg Philharmonic combine musical precision with ideas for sustainable clothing. The sixth Climate Workshop invites you to a special chamber music evening that brings together classical sounds, creative participation, and committed discussions about Slow Fashion.
Music with Attitude and Fine Tones
The program features works by Georg Philipp Telemann, Johann Sebastian Bach, and Anton Rubinstein. The ensembles of the Duisburg Philharmonic present a concert where sensitive orchestration, chamber musical synchronization, and nuanced sound intersect with the themes of climate protection and social change.
Knitting, Crocheting, and Listening
The audience is explicitly invited to bring their own knitting or crocheting projects and let themselves be accompanied stitch by stitch by the musical sounds. This creates an unusual connection of focused listening, handcrafted creativity, and a shared audience atmosphere.
Slow Fashion in Focus
The Climate Workshop #6 focuses on sustainable clothing and Slow Fashion. Initiatives and solutions surrounding fair and climate-neutral production, repair, reuse, and creative alternatives to fast-fashion consumption will be presented. Information booths will be available from 6:00 PM about engagement for climate and nature protection.
An Evening of Concert and Exchange
Over a glass of wine, conversations arise about the power of art, creative transformation, and the question of how sustainable action can be anchored in everyday life. The concert thus connects a live atmosphere, musical expertise, and a socially relevant discourse.
Experience String Sound and Needle Play live in Duisburg: a chamber music evening with members of the Duisburg Philharmonic, personal participation, and inspiring impulses for a more conscious approach to clothing.
