Singing together, celebrating Christmas together
On the first Advent, the Erlöserkirche Rheinhausen transforms into a festive meeting place for music, encounters, and communal singing. The Christmas singing in Rheinhausen offers a colorful pre-Christmas stage program for the whole family on Sunday, November 29, 2026, from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM. Admission is free, and doors open at 3:30 PM.
Local stage art with festive sound
On stage, popular Rheinhausen clubs will present themselves, including the Music Association Duisburg-West and the theater ensemble Bühne 47. The varied program combines musical contributions and scenic elements into a special Advent experience in the Erlöserkirche.
The highlight: Christmas singing with the audience
As familiar Christmas songs ring out, the concert turns into a collective concert experience. The audience is explicitly invited to sing along. This special moment is accompanied by the duo Ali-Oli with Alina Johann and Oliver Reith, who create a loving and reflective musical atmosphere for the songs.
Live atmosphere in the Erlöserkirche
The acoustics of the church space give room to the voices and create a warm timbre. Between stage performance, choir singing, and joint synchronization, an immediate audience atmosphere arises that makes the Advent not only audible but also palpable. Families, music enthusiasts, and older visitors experience an afternoon full of closeness, tradition, and festive emotion.
Free admission and barrier-free access
The event is free of charge and barrier-free accessible. Due to limited seating capacity, prior registration via email at kultur.rheinhausen@stadt-duisburg.de or by phone at 0203 283-987818 is required.
Conclusion: Advent atmosphere to sing along
The Christmas singing in Rheinhausen brings together local clubs, well-known Christmas songs, and communal live music for a festive start to the Advent season. Anyone looking to experience the first Advent with music, light, and collective singing should not miss this festive afternoon in the Erlöserkirche.
