BEAT 10: Repercussion and VJ SAW merge sound and image

On Friday, February 19, 2027, the Mercatorhalle Duisburg will become a resonance space for an extraordinary concert experience: The percussion trio Repercussion celebrates the tenth edition of its Duisburg series BEAT together with VJ SAW. The start is at 8:00 PM.

Drums as driving force

Simon Bernstein, Veith Kloeters, and Rafael Sars explore the boundaries between classical concert, club sound, and experimental stage performance with Repercussion. Their music combines precise interplay, complex rhythms, and energetic soundscapes. Acoustic percussion instruments meet digital sounds, improvisation, and orchestration that immediately captures the pulse of the audience.

An immersive show for eyes and ears

VJ SAW adds a visual layer to the concert. Light, projections, and musical synchronization merge into an immersive show where sound and space communicate with each other. The visuals respond to the dynamics of the percussion and make rhythmic structures visible. Thus, a stage world emerges between concert hall, audiovisual installation, and club experience.

Anniversary without nostalgia

The tenth edition of BEAT does not look back but consistently continues the experiences of past events. The focus is on the connection between artists and the audience as well as openness to premieres, movement, and improvisational surprises. Repercussion develops a live format that breaks up classical listening habits and envisions the concert evening as a shared experience.

Conclusion: Rhythm becomes an experience

BEAT 10 promises an intense live atmosphere with virtuosic percussion, electronic sound colors, and impressive visuals. Those who want to not just hear music but physically feel and visually experience it will find a special concert evening at the Mercatorhalle Duisburg.
