Vincent Tophoven brings fresh stand-up energy to BORA Duisburg
A NightWash Talent Award winner, a microphone, and plenty of stories from real life: Vincent Tophoven showcases his first solo try-out at BORA Duisburg. On Sunday, January 31, 2027, the audience will experience a personal comedy show between everyday life, growing up, and the little stumbling blocks that life serves with remarkable timing.
From Open Mic to the Big Comedy Stage
Vincent Tophoven started his stage career at an open mic in Cologne. Just a few months later, the comedian from Kommern won the NightWash Talent Award 2025. His stand-up comedy thrives on a direct perspective of his own life, honest observations, and punchlines that don't take three detours before landing.
His themes arise where everyday life provides the best material: in the Eifel, on the train between Cologne and home, in youth culture, and in the bizarre situations that everyone knows but seldom speaks of aloud. Experiences as a redhead and the many associated Ginger jokes also find their place in his humor.
Personal, Honest, and Precise
The try-out format promises comedy with a workshop character: new stories, sharpened timing, and immediate interaction with the audience. Tophoven connects personal experiences with pointed observation and a stage presence that transforms small everyday scenes into big laugh moments.
For those who enjoy stand-up comedy up close, direct, and without safety distance, BORA offers a unique laughter experience. The comedy atmosphere here does not arise from large props but from voice, timing, audience reaction, and the shared feeling of being witnesses to a program in development.
An Evening for Fans of New Voices
NightWash is considered an important talent forge of the German stand-up scene. Numerous well-known comedians gained their first stage experiences there. By winning the NightWash Talent Award 2025, Vincent Tophoven has already made a clear statement. In Duisburg, he will now show where his own path leads.
Doors open at 5:00 PM, and the show starts at 6:00 PM. Tickets cost 23.00 euros online; at Tapeo, the bar in BORA, they are available for 20.40 euros.
Conclusion: Experience Comedy Live Before It’s Polished
Vincent Tophoven's TRY OUT TOUR 2026 offers comedy fans a direct glimpse into the life of an emerging stand-up comedian with a personal style, fresh punchlines, and a hunger for the stage. Anyone who wants to see how everyday experiences grow into a solo program should not miss this evening at BORA Duisburg.
