Timur Turga opens the eyes in Duisburg – and brings the audience to laughter

On Saturday, January 23, 2027, Timur Turga invites you to the BORA Duisburg with his program Blind Date. Starting at 8:00 PM, the comedian transforms everyday misunderstandings, peculiar encounters, and the pitfalls of life into a pointed stand-up experience. The laughter experience lasts until around 10:15 PM – enough time for a proper abdominal workout without a sports program.

When everyday life suddenly looks completely different

For several years, Timur Turga has seen the world with different eyes. Nearly blind and with a white cane, he humorously recounts situations where seemingly helpful people mislead him or inadvertently direct him to the wrong restroom. His observations blend personal experiences with fine timing, surprising punchlines, and a healthy dose of self-irony.

Stand-up with imagination, irony, and plenty of stage presence

What his eyes can no longer perceive, Timur Turga compensates with images in his head. This imagination makes his anecdotes particularly vivid and gives the program its own comedic color. He tells tales of an annoying alarm clock, his mission to save pandas, and his former job as a childcare worker. Small everyday scenes lead to big audience reactions.

A Blind Date with humor

Blind Date connects personal stories, classic stand-up, and a sympathetic closeness to the audience. Turga shows how a significant loss can change without defeating one's own humor. His interaction with the audience, his confident presence, and his precise timing create a comedy atmosphere where reflection and laughter easily coexist.
