Sebastian 23 brings the Meeting Point to Duisburg

When language suddenly sparks and a single sentence lifts the audience collectively from their seats, Sebastian 23 stands on stage. On January 22, 2027, the author, cabaret artist, musician, and poetry slammer will perform his new program Meeting Point at BORA Duisburg.

Word Acrobatics with Attitude and Humor

Sebastian 23 combines stand-up, cabaret, slam poetry, and musical moments into a unique laughter experience. His punchlines are precise, his timing is spot on, and amidst playful language surprises, there is always a touch of social criticism. The result: comedy with brain, heart, and a healthy dose of Ruhr area energy.

A Stage Persona with Plenty of Experience

For about 25 years, Sebastian 23 has shaped the German-speaking poetry slam scene. He has published numerous books, toured with several solo programs, and has appeared on TV total, the NDR Talkshow, the 3sat Festival, and Pufpaff's Happy Hour, among others. For his work, he has received the Prix Pantheon, the St. Ingberter Pfanne, and the German Cabaret Prize 2024, among others.

Holding Together, Laughing, Thinking Further

The title Meeting Point sounds like a place where people meet, take a breath, and marvel together at the daily madness. On stage, sharp-tongued storytelling meets poetic imagery, intelligent observation meets absurd moments of everyday life. The audience's reaction is likely to be correspondingly diverse: first concentrated listening, then surprised grinning, and finally loud laughter.
