When everyday experiences become punchlines, humor gains a special power. The discrimination-critical stand-up workshop for FLINTA* invites you on November 5, 2026, to the Duisburg Study Institute and combines comedy, self-empowerment, and queer-feminist perspectives.

A Safe Space for Strong Punchlines

From 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM, an open comedy atmosphere will be created for women, lesbians, inter-, non-binary, and agender individuals. It doesn't matter if the first stand-up steps are still ahead or if stage experience is already present. The focus is on humor, one's own voice, and a discrimination-critical view of comedy.

Turning Experiences into Funny Bits

Together with Jana Goller, host of the queer-feminist stand-up show SMASH COMEDY, we will discuss the criteria of discriminatory jokes and how comedy works without racist clichés, ableism, classism, and sexism. Those who want can try out the newly developed stand-up material the same evening at SMASH COMEDY at Stapeltor Duisburg. The queer-feminist show begins at 8:00 PM and provides a stage for female and queer comedians. Alternatively, the evening can be enjoyed relaxed as an audience member.
