Ding Dong Comedy: When Duisburg's Punchlines Ring at the Door

On Wednesday, November 11, 2026, the BORA at Dellplatz will transform into a testing ground for jokes, timing, and bold stage moments. Stand-up with a Surprise Effect

Open Mic means: No one knows exactly what happens next. That's where the excitement lies. Malte Küppers and Abdul Kader Chahin host the comedy evening and guide the audience through a program of pointed observations, personal storytelling, and daring experimentation. Every gag gets its chance here – even those that may need a little more time to mature on the first attempt.

Timing, Interaction, and Real Audience Reactions

The comedy atmosphere thrives on direct interaction. A quick glance at the audience, a surprising twist, or a punchline that just makes the curve: The Open Mic creates the laughter experience right before the guests' eyes. Laughter, spontaneous reactions, and the concentrated stage presence of the performers make the evening particularly accessible.

Between Comedy Talent and Fail of the Century

Those who love stand-up comedy will experience the full range of the genre at BORA. On stage alongside established acts are people testing their first jokes or finding the courage for an impromptu performance. Own performances are also possible: Interested individuals can contact via email at booking@bora-duisburg.de in advance or speak to the hosts on the evening.
