Bülent Ceylan explains the state of emergency of everyday life

When suddenly everyone has an opinion, a regulation, or at least a nutrition tip ready, Bülent Ceylan is there. With his program Diktatürk, the Mannheim comedian performs on December 11, 2026, at the Mercatorhalle Duisburg and transforms the daily rule madness into an energy-charged laughter experience.

When everyday life suddenly becomes dictatorship

Bülent Ceylan is fed up with people who constantly tell him what to do. Politics, fashion, relationships, and nutrition provide plenty of material for pointed observations, quirky cabaret, and sharp stand-up moments. Humor arises where the normal everyday life loses its friendly mask and suddenly sounds like a service instruction.

Quirky characters, strong stage presence

With familiar stage figures like Thor, Mompfred, Waltraut, Anneliese, Harald, and Hasan, Ceylan builds an entire comedy universe. Each character has its own rhythm, voice, and distinctive attitude. This precise timing generates the kind of audience reaction where one first chuckles and then collectively bursts into laughter.

Metal meets march music

Musically, Diktatürk does not march in step. Metal and march music collide with comedy, family regime, and absurd everyday scenes. Ceylan's stage presence combines loud energy with keen observational skills. The result feels less like a dry speech and more like a humorous stage storm with a powerful soundtrack.

Comedy with attitude and experience

Bülent Ceylan has been on stage for over 25 years and is one of the defining voices in the German comedy scene. His career has taken him from comedy clubs and his own TV formats to large halls and festivals. Awards such as the German Comedy Prize, the CIVIS Media Prize for Integration, and the Order of Merit of the State of Baden-Württemberg underscore his status as an established comedian and cabaret artist.

Live at the Mercatorhalle Duisburg
