When Research Meets Punchlines: The 2nd Science Slam Duisburg
On October 15, 2026, BORA Duisburg will become a laboratory for laughter research. Six researchers will present their projects with wit, charm, and understandable explanations. Instead of dry technical terms, there will be an entertaining Science Slam where insights from different disciplines meet stage energy, timing, and audience reactions.
Science with a Stand-up Factor
Hard facts, fluffy dad jokes: The Science Slam shows that research doesn't have to be hard to digest. The slam participants bring their topics from across disciplines to the stage and transform complex content into entertaining stories. The result combines lecture, cabaret, and stand-up elements into a special laugh experience.
Six Researchers, Six Perspectives
Six talented scientists explain their work with wit and charm. Here, not only expertise and understandable examples count, but also stage presence, creative punchlines, and good timing. Those who enjoy experiencing science with a touch of humor will receive insights that stick in the mind and, ideally, prompt audible laughter.
